Chris McKinley is a former U.S. Navy SEAL Combat Medic and licensed Physician Associate specializing in functional psychiatry, hormone optimization, IV therapy, regenerative medicine, and performance based care. He is the owner of Coastline Wellness and The Institute for Health and Wellness and brings more than two decades of clinical experience, leadership, and operational expertise to the field of precision medicine.
Chris began his lifelong pursuit of health and human performance in 1980 while working at his family’s Natural and Gourmet Food store, where he studied essential nutrients and dietary disciplines supporting optimal health and fitness. During this period, he competed in Division I college football and won or placed second in six National Pro Am NPC qualifying bodybuilding contests. With a personal commitment to excellence, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for ten years as a Navy SEAL, operating at the tip of the spear in more than two dozen countries across four continents.
Following a severe injury, Chris transitioned from active duty to the Reserves and earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006. He began his medical career in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, where he gravitated toward Orthopedic Surgery and later joined a private Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery practice.
Chris subsequently returned to overseas service as a medical contractor on clandestine assignments in Africa and the Middle East. His extensive knowledge in health and wellness combined with medical and Special Operations experience provided unique benefits to highly specialized operational groups. Having brought his own mind and body to peak performance levels in life or death environments and through recovery from multiple injuries, he understands the importance of physical and mental optimization.
Over the past several years, Chris has integrated his operational and medical experience with precision medicine to address traumatic brain injury, depression, PTSD, chronic stress and anxiety, executive burnout, drug addiction, cognitive decline, obesity, and a wide range of medical and psychiatric conditions linked to hormonal and nutritional deficiencies. His clinical focus includes ketamine infusion therapy, bioidentical hormone replacement, peptide protocols, IV nutrient therapy, regenerative medicine, and targeted nutraceutical strategies.
Chris has served his country and protected its people for many years. Today, it is his mission and honor to help patients strengthen their mind, body, and spirit and achieve optimized levels of health and performance.
